Hasan Pezük, Managing Director of TCDD Transportation, while continuing his visit to the workplaces affiliated with the Adana Regional Directorate, reviewed the regional freight and passenger transport activities on site and received information on the works.
Visiting the management of the Loko maintenance shop as part of the tour, Pezük stressed the importance of all locomotive maintenance shops for effective and efficient operation and said, “It is very important that the locomotives are maintained in accordance with the periods. The slightest negligence in this regard leads to the interruption of all our activities. Our region of Adana is a very important region in terms of freight and passenger transport. The port is growing in importance in connection with the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line. While realizing our goal of becoming a logistics base using the advantages of our country’s strategic location, the importance of combined rail + sea, rail + road transport is of great importance. As part of these fine developments, the works of the Karaman-Ulukışla section of the 237-kilometer Konya-Karaman-Ulukışla high-speed train line project and the preparations for the tender for the Aksaray high-speed line -Ulukışla-Yenice The train line continues. With these projects, the economic, social and cultural structure of Adana and other cities will become more dynamic. When the construction of all sections between Konya-Karaman-Mersin-Adana is completed, we will be able to travel on the line at 200 kilometers per hour.
