Health Minister Fahrettin Koca shared the number of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases per 100,000 people on a provincial basis.
Covering the week of September 4-10, the map showed the average number of cases per 100,000 people to be highest in Rize (488.15 cases), Elazığ (412.95 cases) and Trabzon (400.54 cases ).
10 provinces with the highest increase
According to a statement made by Minister Fahrettin Koca on his Twitter account, the largest weekly increase in the number of COVID-19 cases was observed in the provinces of Kilis, Erzincan, Malatya, Karabük, Kastamonu, Erzurum, Adıyaman, Kayseri, Tokat and Sinop.
“If you are in one of these provinces, you should be more careful now,” noted Health Minister Fahrettin Koca.

More and more people in Istanbul, Ankara
According to the map shared by Koca, while the number of cases has increased in Istanbul and Ankara, there has been a slight decrease in Izmir.
While the number of cases was 156.95 in Istanbul in the week of August 28 to September 3, it rose to 183.48. While the number of cases was 242.61 in the capital Ankara, it rose to 282.66.
The average number of COVID-10 cases per 100,000 people has fallen from 45.58 to 43.26 in the Aegean province of Izmir. (KÖ / SD)
