Trumpet model exchange work continues in Kayseri

The Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, said that the works of the multi-storey junction project of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard and July 15 Boulevard, which is one of his investments in the field of transportation, continue uninterrupted, and that when the trumpet model project is completed, the transportation safety and convenience of another important region will be enhanced.

Paying special attention to the public transport system in the city center and rural areas and the development of the transport network throughout Kayseri, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Dr. Fever, work continues in the project, which was launched with the instructions of Memduh Büyükkılıç and will connect Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard, which is an important transportation route to the Organized Industrial Zone, to July 15 Boulevard.

In his statement on the matter, Mayor Büyükkılıç said: “Road, junction development and relocation works are progressing in the project, which will be put into operation with the trumpet intersection model carried out by our teams from the Department of Scientific Affairs of the Metropolitan Municipality. As part of the work, the retaining walls have been raised at the main intersection and, on the other hand, the backfilling operations are continuing.

Büyükkılıç said that due to the ongoing works on Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard, the traffic runs on a single lane in the direction from the Organized Industrial Zone to the city center.

Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “Our goal is to create a permanent and healthy transport network that protects the backbone of our city and provides comfort in the best possible way.

When the ongoing works on Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard are completed, the boulevard, which is an important transportation route to organized industry, will be connected to July 15 Boulevard. With this connection, a long road network of Organized Industrial Zone in Hacılar, Hisarcık Road and Talas will be connected with each other, preventing traffic density on Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard and increasing transportation safety and convenience.
