Australia-based price comparison website Compare the Market set out to find the answer to this question and released its report on the world’s most desirable countries to move to. And for more than 50 countries around the world, Canada is the most popular relocation destination.
After the pandemic and the rise of the work-from-home culture over the past two years, the number of people considering packing their bags and moving to a new country is also on the rise.
A residence permit or citizenship in a country with a high standard of living opens the door to greater comfort. Considerably, the concept of comfort is different for everyone. For some, career prospects are important and for others, loyalty to strangers or a prestigious education for children are top priorities.
According to the report of Compare the markethere we have listed the top 10 countries to move to:
Canada tops the list as the most searched country among 50 other countries, including a number from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and South America. Canada also consistently ranks in areas such as open government, civil liberties, quality of life, economic freedom and education.
Japan ranked second on this list, with 31 countries making it their top relocation destination, including Australia. Japan has one of the highest life expectancies in the world, which might explain why so many people seek to settle there.
Spain is a very popular third choice to move to, with 19 countries having it as their favorite in total. Spain is a country that offers excellent health care and an excellent quality of life.
China is the popular fourth choice to move to, with 15 countries having it as their favorite in total.
This stunning country located in western Europe is renowned for its beauty, home to some of the most iconic structures and buildings in the world, and of course famous for its incredible food, wine and fashion. The country is ranked fifth in this list, with 11 countries having it as a favorite in total.
At the point where Europe and Asia collide, it is Turkey’s transcontinental culture shock, its East-West spice mix of influences, flavors, cultures, religions and histories, that makes this country so intoxicating.
It is a land of sensory richness, in its bazaars and its mosques, its gastronomy and its arts; of exoticism and romanticism, from its Ottoman palaces to magical Cappadocia. Turkey is ranked sixth in this list along with South Africa.
7. South Africa
South Africa, officially known as the Republic of South Africa, is a great place to settle here and ranks sixth with Turkey.
The study placed India as the 8th most popular country to move to. India was preferred as a relocation destination by residents of seven countries. These include Bangladesh, Bhutan, Finland, Ivory Coast, Libya, Niger and the United Arab Emirates.
In ninth place is Australia on the list, with 6 countries having it as their top relocation destination.
Australia is world famous for its natural wonders and its wide open spaces, its beaches, its deserts, “the bush”, and the “Outback”. Australia is a country that offers excellent health care and an excellent quality of life.
10. Greece and Fiji tied
The study placed Greece tenth with Fiji as the most sought-after country for relocation. Greece was preferred as a relocation destination by residents of four countries. These include Armenia, Cyprus, North Macedonia and Serbia.
Fiji was preferred as a relocation destination by residents of four countries, including Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru and Tuvalu.
