‘It’s so beautiful’: Couple travel to Cappadocia in Turkey after beating cancer

The cancer battle is a long and arduous journey that impacts not only patients but their loved ones as well. After going through many rounds of chemotherapy, people want to celebrate and check off certain items on their to-do list. In a heartfelt gesture, a man promised his fiancée that he would take her to the Turkish city of Cappadocia to see the balloons after she finished her chemotherapy.

Hannah and Charlie, a couple of travel bloggers, shared a video on Instagram that documented their journey from beating cancer to one of their dream destinations. They had to cancel the trip four times due to Covid and then cancer.

“I promised my fiancée that after she finished her chemotherapy, I would take her to Cappadocia to see the balloons,” reads a text insert on the video. The clip shows Hannah visiting the doctor’s office numerous times as she undergoes chemotherapy. After completing her chemotherapy sessions, her fiancé Charlie takes her on a flight to Turkey. They watched the hot air balloons from the city of Cappadocia.

“Overwhelming beauty. After 4 trips canceled due to covid and cancer, here we are finally ticking another place on our bucket list! What a place,” the caption of the video says.
