Turkey among top 10 countries receiving investments

The selected projects were awarded as part of the Entrepreneurial Capacity Development for Sustainable Socio-Economic Harmony (ENHANCHER) project. Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank announced that under the project with a budget of €32.5 million, 5 different grant schemes have been announced and around 117 million euros were allocated to 11 projects.

Stating that they have set many goals for entrepreneurship in the Industrial and Technology Strategy 2023, Minister Varank said, “We have focused on technology-based entrepreneurship. We will be announcing the National Technology Entrepreneurship Strategy very soon. With this strategy, we aim to establish 2030 tech startups by 100,” he said.

STARTS IN 2020

The ENHANCHER project was launched in 2020 under the European Union financial aid fund. The Ministry of Industry and Technology, Directorate General of Development Agencies is the beneficiary of the project, where the International Center for Migration Policy Development ICMPD assumes an implementation role in Turkey.

CERTIFICATION CEREMONY

The selected projects received certificates within the framework of the program organized within the framework of ENHANCER. European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Varhelyi said that with the ENHANCER project, the European Union will provide a fund of 32.5 million euros to small and medium-sized enterprises and will support the creation of jobs in this field.

DEVELOPMENT OF NEW PRODUCTS

Explaining that with ENHANCER they aim to create 200 sustainable jobs, establish 300 new workplaces and provide 400 new employment opportunities to entrepreneurs through business meetings, Varhelyi said, “We also support the development of new products and market access”. said.

After the ceremony, the Deputy Director General of Development Agencies, Ahmet Şimşek, and the ICMPD Regional Chair for the Western Balkans and Turkey, Tamer Kılıç, shared their “experience of ENHANCER project, contribution of adaptation projects socio-economic to the general development of Turkey” with the participants.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP TARGET

APPLIED IN 11 PROVINCES

Project; It is implemented in 11 provinces, namely Istanbul, Şanlıurfa, Gaziantep, Adana, Mersin, Bursa, İzmir, Ankara, Konya, Kayseri and Hatay. In the project, various services and supports are provided to increase the tendency of aspiring entrepreneurs to start a business, as well as to increase the success and growth opportunities of newly established businesses or businesses with growth potential.

CERTIFICATE OF SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS

Minister Varank and Commissioner Varhelyi presented their certificates to 26 participants representing 7 successful projects of the program. The institutions and organizations that have received their certificates are:
